Meet the Founder
Cerrise Weiblen, PhD
Cerrise led the team in developing the ProGRN method, employing a multi-algorithm ensemble approach, combining machine learning and gene expression data to produce robust regulatory networks for prokaryotic organisms. She is the lead consultant at GRN Express, in charge of gene regulatory network inference and analysis.
Clients benefit from Cerrise's extensive experience in multi-omics and bacterial metabolism. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Colorado, Boulder, USA and her Doctorate in Microbiology and Biotechnology at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada.
Meet the Developer
Tian Du, MSc
Tian Du was the technical lead for the ProGRN project, combining his background in biological sciences with expertise in software engineering and development. Tian's other projects include advanced implementation of AI and ML with computer vision in diagnostic imaging and precision health. He remains our lead developer and tech guru, supporting our implementation of advanced machine learning approaches to derive scientifically robust regulatory networks from biological data.
Tian earned his Bachelor's degree in Computing Science - Artificial Intelligence with a minor in Bioinformatics at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada. He went on to complete his Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence also at the University of Alberta.
